J & B MARKETING MARK DESIGN

This project became an important turning point in my career. Beyond the design itself, it opened the door to valuable relationships and opportunities that continued to shape my professional path. J & B Marketing approached me to create a mark that felt savvy, creative, and reflective of the intelligence behind their work. The goal was to design something distinctive, memorable, and aligned with the company’s identity.

RESEARCH

The process began with exploring visual ideas connected to creativity, experience, and knowledge. During this phase I evaluated different conceptual directions that could represent the intelligence and strategic thinking behind the J & B Marketing brand. This research led to the owl, a figure historically associated with wisdom and learning, widely recognized as a symbolic representation of knowledge. The goal was to translate that concept into a distinctive and recognizable brand mark.

DESIGN

Once the concept was established, I explored typographic and geometric approaches to construct the mark. Through font research, shape exploration, and structural refinement, I developed a symbol that could clearly read as an owl while maintaining a modern, minimal aesthetic. The objective was to create a mark that felt both clever and immediately recognizable.

DEVELOPMENT

After the initial concept was created, I stepped away from the design to return with fresh perspective. The mark was then refined to improve balance, clarity, and overall visual impact. Through this process of simplification and adjustment, the final mark emerged as a clean, memorable identity that reflects the creative and strategic nature of the brand.
